Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 The organization is a membership-based business league. Members consist of land surveyors licensed in Kentucky and persons, commercial firms, or organizations who are non-licensed but have an interest in land surveying. Membership levels are: Full Member, Associate Member, Corporate Member, Lifetime Member, and Student Member. Members pay annual dues and meet the requirements set forth in the bylaws.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a The organization's active Full Members elect the members of the Board of Directors. Each Full Member in good standing is entitled to one vote.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b Certain decisions, including amendments to the organization's bylaws, must be approved by a majority vote of the membership during a general membership meeting.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b A complete copy of the final Form 990 was reviewed in detail by the Treasurer and Finance Committee. A copy was then made available to the full Board of Directors for comment prior to the return being filed with the IRS.
