Briefly describe the organization’s mission: Seek to promote and advance the understanding and application of every phase of the broad concept of HR management. Endeavor to improve and establish proven ideals and standards of ethical conduct among members in the field of HR. Initiate and/or proactively participate in varied programs that our membership approves as being consistent with the objectives SHRM Charleston's sponsorship and/or assistance. Provide a social atmosphere for the meeting of people interested in or working in the field of HR management. Provide a ready network of HR professionals, of all specialties, for the purposes of advice, consultation, and ideas, which will raise the quality of HR practices across the tri-county area. Actively promote the reputation of the Human Resource profession within the local business community. Actively promote the advancement of diversity in our membership, in the HR profession, and within the local business community.

	MembershipSHRM Charleston is an organization made up Human Resource professionals in the tri-county area of Charleston, South Carolina. We are a 100% membership chapter, which means you must also be a member of the national SHRM organization. SHRM Charleston meetings are typically held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month (November is held on the 2nd Tuesday and there is usually a holiday party in December) during lunchtime hours. The meeting schedule and topics are posted under meetings and events on the Chapter website.
