Tresemi was formed under Texas law on March 7 2023 and received its IRS 501c3 private foundation determination on December 5 2023. This is the foundations first Form 990-PF. The foundation was administered solely by volunteer officers with no prior tax-exempt-entity experience and no engaged tax preparer or counsel. 2023 activity was limited to formation; the planned first program was delayed by the partner organization to February 2024. With no revenue or program activity the officers mistakenly believed federal filing obligations had not yet been triggered.
