| FORM 990-EZ, PART III, LINE 28 | YEAR OF CONTINUED TRANSITION AND EXPANDING REACH FOR PETER'S SHADOW THE YEAR 2025 MARKED ANOTHER SIGNIFICANT PHASE OF TRANSITION FOR PETER'S SHADOW. AS THE MINISTRY CONTINUES TO EVOLVE, ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE RAPIDLY EXPANDING ENCOUNTER SCHOOL/AKRON CAMPUS HAS MATURED, RESULTING IN A NECESSARY AND PLANNED SHIFT IN PETER'S SHADOW'S OVERALL ROLE. WHILE THE ENCOUNTER SCHOOLS LOCAL INFLUENCE AND OPERATIONAL SCOPE HAVE GROWN EXPONENTIALLYTAKING ON A LARGER SHARE OF REGIONAL TRAINING AND MINISTRY EVENTSPETERS SHADOW HAS DELIBERATELY NARROWED ITS FOCUS TO CONCENTRATE ON ITS CORE, SPECIALIZED HEALING MINISTRIES. DESPITE THE DECREASE IN ITS BROADER ORGANIZATIONAL FOOTPRINT, THE MINISTRY REMAINS DEEPLY COMMITTED TO ITS SPECIALIZED WORK. PETERS SHADOW WILL CONTINUE TO BE THE PRIMARY PROVIDER OF THE ESSENTIAL UNBOUND AND INNER HEALING MINISTRIES BASED OUT OF IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY IN CUYAHOGA FALLS. THIS CENTRALIZED LOCATION REMAINS A CRITICAL HUB FOR DEEP, PERSONAL MINISTRY, SERVING INDIVIDUALS SEEKING RELEASE AND PROFOUND EMOTIONAL AND SPIRITUAL HEALING THROUGH THESE SPECIFIC, HIGHLY EFFECTIVE MODELS. A MAJOR STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT AND A SOURCE OF IMMENSE ENCOURAGEMENT HAS BEEN THE DRAMATIC INCREASE IN COOPERATION FROM LOCAL CLERGY. THE NUMBER OF PASTORS WHO HAVE WARMLY WELCOMED PETER'S SHADOW BY ESTABLISHING DEDICATED PRAYER ROOMS WITHIN THEIR PARISHES HAS SURGED THROUGHOUT THE DIOCESE. THIS EXPANSION IS A GAME-CHANGER FOR ACCESSIBILITY AND LOCAL OUTREACH. BY DECENTRALIZING THE MINISTRY, PRAYER TEAM MEMBERS WHO LIVE IN DIFFERENT GEOGRAPHICAL AREAS OF THE DIOCESE ARE NOW EMPOWERED TO MINISTER TO PEOPLE FROM THEIR IMMEDIATE LOCAL COMMUNITY. THIS VITAL CHANGE ELIMINATES THE SIGNIFICANT TRAVEL BURDEN FOR BOTH THE MINISTRY TEAMS AND THOSE SEEKING PRAYER, ALLOWING INDIVIDUALS TO RECEIVE MINISTRY CLOSER TO HOME RATHER THAN HAVING TO DRIVE ALL THE WAY TO THE CENTRAL LOCATION IN CUYAHOGA FALLS. THIS NETWORK OF PARISH-BASED PRAYER ROOMS REPRESENTS A POWERFUL EXPANSION OF PETER'S SHADOW'S HEALING GRACE INTO THE FARTHEST REACHES OF THE DIOCESE, ENSURING THE SPECIALIZED MINISTRIES ARE MORE READILY AVAILABLE TO ALL WHO NEED THEM. |
| FORM 990-EZ, PART III, LINE 29 | THE ENCOUNTER SCHOOL EXPERIENCED A SIGNIFICANT INFLUX OF NEW STUDENTS THIS PAST SEPTEMBER, WELCOMING A TOTAL OF 92 INDIVIDUALS TO ITS TRANSFORMATIVE PROGRAM. THIS COHORT DEMONSTRATED A HEALTHY MIX OF RETURNING STUDENTS AND NEW REGISTRANTS, HIGHLIGHTING THE SCHOOL'S GROWING APPEAL AND RETENTION SUCCESS. SPECIFICALLY, FORTY DEDICATED STUDENTS RETURNED TO BEGIN THEIR YEAR TWO CLASSES, EAGER TO DEEPEN THEIR LEARNING AND EXPERIENCE. SIMULTANEOUSLY, WE SAW AN ENTHUSIASTIC ENROLLMENT OF 52 STUDENTS WHO WERE REGISTERED FOR THE INAUGURAL YEAR-ONE CLASS, MARKING A STRONG START FOR THE NEW ACADEMIC CYCLE. THE ENERGY AND UNITY OF THE SCHOOL COMMUNITY WERE ON FULL DISPLAY AT THE ANNUAL ENCOUNTER CONFERENCE, HELD IN JULY 2025. A CONTINGENT OF 50 STUDENTS FROM THE AKRON CAMPUS MADE THEIR PRESENCE KNOWN. WHAT MADE THIS GROUP PARTICULARLY STAND OUT WAS THEIR UNIFIED ATTIRE: THEY WERE ALL WEARING THE SAME CUSTOM-DESIGNED T-SHIRTS. THESE SHIRTS WERE A UNIQUE CREATION, DESIGNED WITH ARTISTIC FLAIR BY THE SON OF ONE OF OUR COMMITTED YEAR TWO STUDENTS. THIS VISIBLE DISPLAY OF SOLIDARITY, COUPLED WITH OUR LARGE NUMBERS, ENSURED THAT, AS A COLLECTIVE, "WE WERE A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH" THROUGHOUT THE CONFERENCE. THE PRIDE AND FELLOWSHIP WERE PALPABLE, AFFIRMING THE STRONG COMMUNITY SPIRIT FOSTERED BY THE ENCOUNTER SCHOOL. |
| FORM 990-EZ, PART III, LINE 30 | AS THE CURRENT YEAR CONCLUDES, OUR ORGANIZATION IS DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE A SIGNIFICANT ENHANCEMENT TO THE LEADERSHIP TEAM WITH THE ADDITION OF THREE NEW, HIGHLY QUALIFIED MEMBERS TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS. THESE INDIVIDUALS BRING A DIVERSE ARRAY OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE AND A DEEP COMMITMENT TO OUR MISSION, AND WE ARE CONFIDENT THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS WILL BE INVALUABLE AS WE LOOK TO THE FUTURE. THE OFFICIAL WELCOMING AND INITIAL ONBOARDING SESSION FOR THESE NEW DIRECTORS WILL TAKE PLACE IN A VIRTUAL FORMAT VIA GOOGLE MEET IN EARLY JANUARY. THIS INITIAL MEETING WILL FOCUS ON INTRODUCTIONS, AN OVERVIEW OF CURRENT PRIORITIES, AND A REVIEW OF FOUNDATIONAL BOARD DOCUMENTS AND GOVERNANCE PROCEDURES. FOLLOWING THIS VIRTUAL INTRODUCTION, A MORE COMPREHENSIVE, IN-PERSON MEETING IS SCHEDULED FOR JUNE. THIS MID-YEAR GATHERING WILL BE A PIVOTAL EVENT, AS IT IS THE TIME WHEN THE BOARD WILL HOLD ITS ANNUAL ELECTION FOR NEW OFFICERS, INCLUDING THE CRUCIAL ROLES OF PRESIDENT, VICE PRESIDENT, SECRETARY, AND TREASURER. IN A PLANNED AND SMOOTH TRANSITION OF LEADERSHIP, JOHN SMITH, WHO HAS PROVIDED EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE AND STEADFAST DIRECTION AS PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD FOR THE PAST FIVE YEARS, HAS GRACIOUSLY AGREED TO EXTEND HIS TERM UNTIL THE JUNE IN-PERSON MEETING. THIS CONTINUITY ENSURES THAT THE ORGANIZATION MAINTAINS STABLE LEADERSHIP THROUGH THE FIRST HALF OF THE NEW YEAR, PROVIDING THE NEW BOARD MEMBERS WITH A CLEAR PATH FOR INTEGRATION AND ALLOWING FOR A COMPREHENSIVE HANDOVER OF PRESIDENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES ONCE THE NEW OFFICERS ARE ELECTED. WE EXPRESS OUR DEEPEST GRATITUDE TO JOHN FOR HIS DEDICATED YEARS OF SERVICE AND FOR FACILITATING THIS STRUCTURED TRANSITION PERIOD. |
