We provide free, nutritious meals to low-income individuals and families who experience chronic hunger and financial hardship. Meals are served six to seven times per month at scheduled community locations, totaling over 6000 meals annually. In addition to food, we create a welcoming and dignified environment by playing music, visiting with them, personally serving guests with drinks refills and carry-out meals, encouraging them to help with carrying and cleaning and offering hygiene products and pantry items such as boxed and canned goods to take home, and winter clothing essentials. This compassionate service-oriented approach fosters a sense of community and trust while meeting both immediate and ongoing needs. Success is measured by the number of meals served, increased food storage and distribution capacity, and anecdotal evidence of improved well-being among participants.
