What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Local 120 is affiliated with the AFL-CIO, located in Boston, MA representing employees of the commuter rail system owned by the MBTA
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 BRS Local 120 negotiated our current Labor contract with KEOLIS, contractor for the MBTA, to operate the commuter rail system in Boston, MA. We defend our 160+ member local against unfair practices which violate our bargaining agreement. We participate in business meetings held by KEOLIS representing our members, to provide a fair, reliable and safe work environment, and to the traveling public. We help our 160+ members navigate retirement, sickness and disability, FMLA process. We also assist new employees to KEOLIS navigate the training and job bidding process and fair wage increase process. Donate to charities and support families through difficult times.
