Through targeted domestic and international advertising, public relations, digital marketing, and content campaigns, the organization strengthened Tampa Bay's position as one of the nation's premier travel destinations. Visit Tampa Bay also generated significant earned media exposure in key domestic and international markets while driving visitation through strategic partnerships and destination storytelling. Visit Tampa Bay hosted meetings and conventions that generated substantial economic impact for Hillsborough County. Working collaboratively with the Tampa Convention Center, area hotels, and local venues, the convention sales team continued aggressive sales outreach through industry trade shows, sales missions, client events, familiarization tours, and cooperative marketing initiatives while securing future business that will generate continued economic benefits for the destination. These collective efforts helped attract more than 28 million visitors to Hillsborough County during FY25, generating $6.0 billion in direct visitor spending and $9.5 billion in total economic impact. Tourism supported nearly 62,000 local jobs and generated approximately $691 million in state and local tax revenues, helping fund essential public services while strengthening the local economy and enhancing the quality of life for residents. |
