What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? WISCONSIN MALAYALEE ASSOCIATION is an organization of people from Kerala residing in Wisconsin to preserve cultural heritage of Kerala and to provide a forum for cultural, social and charitable activities of its members. The Association have the following objectives * To take an active interest in cultural, social and welfare of the members. * To promote friendship and fellowship. * To organize periodic community activities. * To encourage service-minded people to serve the community without any rewards. * To educate future generation about Kerala heritage and culture and to be proud of it. * To aid others (weak and needy in Kerala) whenever possible.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The Wisconsin Malayalee Association (WISMA) organized its annual summer picnic in June 2025. A total of 250 people attended the event. There were various fun activities and games conducted for the community, providing a great opportunity for members to meet and connect with one another. We hosted a fundraising event and cultural show in September as part of the Onam Celebration. The event included a traditional feast, and approximately 578 people participated. Around 100 volunteers contributed to organizing and presenting the cultural show. In December, we hosted another fundraising event and cultural show as part of the Christmas Celebration. This event featured a cultural program and dinner, with roughly 500 attendees. About 150 volunteers participated in organizing the cultural show. In addition, we organized volunteer activities to prepare and donate sandwiches to the Guest House of Milwaukee. We conducted nine such volunteer opportunities throughout the year. We also launched a new educational program for school children using an online app and started a couple of online events to help promote their soft skills.
