What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Minnesota State Chess Association (MSCA) conducts two primary activities: tournaments and education. The MSCA organizes and conducts chess tournaments that encourage interest in the game of chess and provide education and development for the chess players. The MSCA provides a range of educational benefits to its chess players and members as part of furthering its exempt purpose.

28 Chess Tournaments & Education - organized and conducted 15 chess tournaments that benefited 1,492 participants. Approximately 50% of the participants were scholastic chess players. These activities further the MSCA's exempt purpose by providing a range of educational benefits to the participants.
