What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Organization's mission and significant activities are to provide assistance to law enforcement officers in Lodge 83's service area, fund the annual "Santa with a Badge" program to provide Christmas shopping for needy children. Contributions to Charities in our service areas.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Our annual Santa with a Badge event was held at Walmart this year. We were able to provide Christmas for approximately 170 children! This was made possible by the generous donations we received from Green Monstah Firearms and the Eastern Panhandle Board of Realtors. Green Monstah Firearms held a fundraiser where customers were allowed to roundup their receipts to support our lodge. The Eastern Panhandle Board of Realtors is comprised of over 900 local realtors. They were able to gather enough donations from their members to contribute 11,310.00 towards our SWAB event. This averaged out to about $12.00 per member.

Return Reference Explanation
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 10 The majority of our donations this year were to Project Linus to help cover the costs of providing blankets to all the children we take shopping at our Santa With A Badge (SWAB) event. This year we doubled the number of children we took shopping due to a partnership with several local businesses and associations.
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 16 These expenses are associated with the running and maintaining the lodge. This total reflects the cost of several firearms that were purchased to raffle off. Also included are the costs of our Santa With A Badge Event - $16,947.00 and costs to send our State Chaplain to the National Convention - $500.00. We also attended several community outreach events this year and purchased giveaway items and new Lodge Banners.
