Briefly describe the organization’s mission: The United Flagstaff Firefighters, IAFF Local 1505, serve those who serve our community. As our member work to provide the highest levels of all hazards emergency response to those in need, we ensure a healthy and safe work environment with competitive pay and benefits.

Currently serve 200 active members. We continue to provide exceptional labor relations, grief and suffering and counseling, as well as mutual aid and support. UFFF established the UFFF Charities and Benevolent Fund as a means to give back to the community, and take care of our own respectively.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 The organization has active, retired, and honorary members. Eligible members for active status include all line personnel on a 56 hour work week up to the rank of Batallion Chief. Personnel of 40 hour positions are eligible up to the rank of Chief.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a All officers shall be elected by the members at large.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b Amendments to the constitutions and bylaws require two-thirds vote. While changes in dues, assessments, initiation fees, and reinstatement fees require a majority vote at a regular meeting by members in good standings.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The treasurer of the organization distributes a PDF copy of the 990 to all board members to review and comment prior to being filed.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c At each board and committee meeting, if there is a discussion of selecting or engaging a vendor or service provider, all in attendance are asked to recuse themselves from the discussion if there could be a perceived conflict.
