	VFW Post 8469 supports 4 or 5 Honor Flights a year. The Honor Flight program brings veterans to the DC area to visit the many museums and memorials in the DC area. The Post supports the East Tennessee Hub by providing a meal to 50 veterans and supporters as the leave for home.

	VFW Post 8469 provides awards and scholarships to a wide variety of students and First Responders in the Fairfax Area. These include awards to the winners of the Voice of Democracy and Patriot's Pen competition, Teachers of the Year, Junior ROTC and Civil Air Patrol cadets, and First Responders to include police officers, firefighters, EMT technicians, EOD technicians, and emergency call center operators.

Part III, Line 1	In 2023, the Post began a major Building Upgrade effort for current Post building. This effort has pushed the Post past the $50K revenue and $500K assets point.
Part VI, Line 1a	Per the Post By-Laws, the supreme control of the Post is vested in its members, each having an equal voice. The members elect an Executive Committee who prepare the annual plan and present it to the members for approval. The Executive Committee executes the approved plan and any deviation or modification must be approved by the members at a regularly scheduled General Membership meeting.
Part VI, Line 6	All members in good standing vote on the Post's annual plan and vote for the members of the Executive Committee, which are the five Board members recognized by the Virginia State Corporation Commission.
