What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Cooperation is essential to sustaining a viable technology base. APOMA represents a broad constituency of precision optics manufacturers and the supporting industry, along with academic associates whose mutual interest is the advancement and expansion of optics manufacturing and technology. APOMA supports the common interests of its members, far more important than the small differences that have for too long fragmented the industry.

28 The American Precision Optics Manufacturers Association (APOMA) is committed to promoting and advancing opportunities for the precision optics industry. APOMA is the working group of the top U.S. optics manufacturers. Our members are front line and operations managers who turn to their peers in APOMA for best practices and technical guidance. APOMA hosts networking events and technical workshops throughout the year to further advance our members in the precision optics industry. Bi-Monthly newsletters are published and available on our website APOMA.org. The newsletters highlight the latest membership news and pertinent highlights for our industry. APOMA actively represents the industry as we coordinate events with our members and key subject matter experts at the National Labs, DOD, DOE and Homeland Security organizations.
