PART I, LINE 2: HOPE COLLEGE OFFERS MERIT-BASED ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS TO INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS. THE ASSESSMENT FOR AWARDING THESE MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS IS BASED ON A REVIEW OF THE STUDENT'S APPLICATION, WITH SPECIFIC EMPHASIS ON THE STUDENT'S ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS, AS WELL AS LEADERSHIP AND VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES. STUDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE THE SCHOLARSHIP FOR A MAXIMUM OF EIGHT (8) SEMESTERS. STUDENTS WHO COMPLETE THEIR DEGREE IN LESS THAN EIGHT (8) SEMESTERS WILL HAVE THEIR SCHOLARSHIP TERMINATED ONCE THE DEGREE REQUIREMENTS ARE MET. RENEWAL IS CONTINGENT UPON THE INTERNATIONAL STUDENT MAINTAINING FULL-TIME ENROLLMENT (12 CREDITS PER SEMESTER), AS WELL AS MAINTAINING SATISFACTORY ACADEMIC PROGRESS, AS DEFINED BY THE HOPE COLLEGE OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID.
