Update 6 15 26: I was able to file the 2023 return last year then suffered a relapse that delayed the filing of the 2024 return. I am filing it now and will also address the 2025 return directly after filing this one. Again thank you for your consideration and understanding. From 2023 return - For the past 5 years I have had major medical problems that have limited all my activities. Many times I was in such pain I could barely move. An MRI showed bulging disks and stenosis. I saw several specialists in back and nerve pain including regular chiropractic treatments and even had an epidural but that only made my condition worse. and My mother has always prepared tax returns for the nonprofit after I provide her with the information required to do so. Due to my disability she was trying to gather the information required for the 2023 tax return but then was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2024. Her surgery radiation treatments and follow ups combined with my own medical problems then back-to-back hurricanes leading to loss of power and other complications pretty much consumed the entire year. My mother has made a full recovery but still battles fatigue. My problems have continued but I was finally diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis an autoimmune disease that attacks the spine a couple months ago. I still struggle daily but I have seen some improvement due to changes in my diet and exercise routine. We are now committed and focused on going forward with the nonprofit and are filing the 2023 and 2024 returns to get back on track. I would really appreciate your consideration of our circumstances.
