What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The purpose of International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local Union 618, Inc. is to organize and represent workers employed in the theatrical, entertainment, and related industries; to improve working conditions, wages, benefits, and job security; to advocate for fair labor standards and collective bargaining rights; and to provide support, training, and representation for its members.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Represented a bargaining unit of 61 members and 185 permit workers in annual wage negotiations under the existing labor agreement with Indiana University. Successfully secured a 2% general wage increase for the entire workforce and provided ongoing contract administration and grievance protection, ensuring economic stability and the preservation of negotiated workplace rights for all 246 covered employees.
