Part I, Line 8 Revenue generated in connection with Crafts For The People, Sound Makers Social, pop-up events, and community activations included workshop and program participation support, which helped cover materials, facilitation, and operational costs while maintaining accessibility for participants; sponsorships and community partnerships from local businesses, organizations, and aligned partners, which provided funding in exchange for brand visibility, on-site activations, and integration into culturally relevant experiences; event-based revenue through vendor participation and collaborative activations that contributed to production costs while supporting small businesses and creatives; and individual contributions from donors and community members who aligned with the mission of providing free or accessible cultural programming. All revenue received supported program operations, fairly compensated artists and facilitators, covered material and production costs, and was reinvested into future programming to expand access, strengthen community engagement, and continue uplifting Charlottes diverse creative ecosystem.
Part I, Line 10 Two grants were awarded as part of the Wave Starter Grant initiative, a program designed to support emerging creative talent in Charlotte, NC, with funds distributed to two local artists to assist in the development and execution of their individual artistic projects. These grants were intended to foster creative growth, support professional advancement, and encourage local cultural production while providing resources for materials, production, and project implementation. In addition to financial support, recipients were connected to a broader creative ecosystem through opportunities for visibility, community engagement, and participation in programming aligned with Crafts For The People, Sound Makers Social, and related community activations. All funds were directed toward enabling artists to complete meaningful work, expand their practice, and contribute to the continued growth and vibrancy of Charlottes creative community.
Part I, Line 16 Community Programming expenses totaling $13,588 were allocated across Crafts For The People, Sound Makers Social, pop-up events, and community activations throughout Charlotte, NC. These initiatives are designed to provide free and accessible cultural programming that uplifts local creatives, fosters community engagement, and creates opportunities for artistic and professional development. Through hands-on workshops, live music experiences, and neighborhood-based activations, the organization continues to support emerging and established artists while activating public spaces and underserved communities. Funds were utilized across several key expense categories directly tied to program delivery and impact. Program Materials and Creative Supplies included costs for leatherworking materials, art supplies, tools, and resources used in Crafts For The People workshops and other hands-on activations. Event Production and Site Operations covered expenses for equipment, staging, sound, and logistics for Sound Makers Social and pop-up experiences. Marketing and Promotional Expenses included digital campaigns, printed materials, and outreach efforts used to increase awareness, drive attendance, and engage the community. Artist and Facilitator Compensation supported stipends for producers, DJs, teaching artists, and creative contributors who led workshops and performed at events. Event Coordination and Program Management included planning, scheduling, staffing, and operational oversight to ensure smooth execution across all activations. These investments directly supported the organizations ability to deliver consistent, high-quality programming while maintaining accessibility for participants. The funds contributed to expanding reach, strengthening community connections, and creating meaningful platforms for creatives to showcase their work, develop their skills, and engage with audiences. All expenses were aligned with the organizations mission to build sustainable cultural ecosystems and reinvest in programming that uplifts Charlottes diverse creative community.
