What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? IBCFPRS provides a mechanism for recognizing the qualifications of international candidate surgeons after measuring them against certain rigorous standards in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 IBCFPRS has two program services, the largest of which is the certification of international surgeons in facial plastic surgery. IBCFPRS expense and reimbursements of $15789 were used to support this program in 2025. Certification is a two-part process. Candidate surgeons submit operative experience, licensing, and credentials for peer review. They also sit for a must pass a two-day written and oral examination. They examination is given in collaboration with the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS), a 501(c)(6) non-profit which provides the certification in North America in the area of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. In 2024, 10 surgeons met the standards set by the IBCFPRS and were certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, bringing the total number of IBCFPRS diplomates to 215.
