What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Our vision is for Northeast Indiana to become America's most engaged military community. Our main focus is on education, collaboration, communication, and programs that will build, grow and enhance the quality of life in Northeast Indiana. A large part of our efforts go toward the Military Support Fund, held at the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne, that provides monetary grants to local military service members for urgent living expenses. We raise money through donations and events such as our Race For The Warrior 5k Walk/Run/Roll and Golf For The Warrior golf tournament and Luncheon Series.

Program Services Accomplishments (continued):	Northeast Indiana Base Community Council is a not-for-profit private organization serving as a catalyst in unifying the military, civilian and business communities of the greater Fort Wayne Region through awareness, collaboration, advocacy, workforce development and leadership. The Northeast Indiana Base Community Councils primary focus is the NIBCC Military Support Fund (MSF) which is used to supply Active Duty Service Members, Reservists or Guardsmen living or serving in the 12 county Northeast Indiana Region with emergency financial assistance along with unit support for the members of the military bases/facilities in the region. Due to the government shutdown from the mid-October to mid-November, the financial assistance needed was unprecedented as not all Service Members were paid during that time. We provided 115 MSF grants during 2025, with 71 of those grants paid out during the shutdown. We also supported 2 military events for over 600 service members; One (1) military member/family events for over 300 service members and their families; One (1) military spouse event for 25; One (1) military family holiday support event for 175 service and family members.
