3 Early plantings at Skywood Food Forest are reaching peak productivity. 2025 saw substantial harvests of numerous organic fruit varieties which were donated again to the Bellingham Food Bank and Birchwood Food Desert Fighters non-profits. Our participation in local seed-saving and seed-sharing efforts continue with the Salish Seed Guild a 501 c3 non-profit that donates locally adapted seeds to the community. Skywood had a major presence educating gardeners on mason bees as pollinators and donated thousands of bees to the community. We continued to give tours and provide consultation to many people through the year. 13,950
4 Teaching Tutoring Education and Case Management: Kara Black taught English to adults through Whatcom Community College including tutoring of small groups and individuals in and out of the classroom.
