Accomplishments include:Hormonally improves womens health through education on hormones across the lifespan and became an independent nonprofit organization in October, 2025. The Hormonally.org website attracted 4,900 new users from 86 countries with over 13,000 visits.In the past year, Hormonally offered resources on topics from menstruation to menopause, including a widely used anatomical map, a self-advocacy toolkit, and a national survey exposing care gaps.Hormonally also delivered workplace education through partnerships and engaged global health leaders to reduce stigma and improve access to care.Executive Director Lauren Redfern was quoted in an AP article, More than hot flashes: Women raise awareness about menopause symptoms and work.The foundation published educational information and articles on hormones after menopause, with emphasis on testosterone and HRT a 465,779
2 Animal welfare and alternative sterilization methodsThe Parsemus Foundation has supported research and advocacy on alternatives to traditional sterilization methods, providing extensive information on our website for pet owners. Key focus areas have been on hormone-sparing sterilization and hormone restoration in dogs. The foundation also offers information on enhanced animal welfare standards and the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Our study of the safety and efficacy of testosterone for neutered male dogs was published in BMC Veterinary Research, which has been viewed 7000 times. Staff updated our animal health website pages, Veterinary Directory, and coordinated messaging with veterinary influencers.We posted articles on new research about spaying and neutering pets, advances in pet sterilization and contraception, and related topics.In addition to newsletter articles, the foundation provided educational material to veterinarians listed on our Veterinary Directory.We cont 177,672
3 Male contraception and family planningThe Parsemus Foundations support for contraception focused on oversight of the development of the Vasalgel male contraceptive. 4 Aging and infectious disease research and advocacyThe Parsemus Foundation supports and publicizes research on reducing the risk of dementia and Alzheimers disease, as well as advocating for the use of metformin for COVID-19 and long COVID. Publicized a Harvard study published in Nature on the benefits of lithium for Alzheimers disease. This major research study advanced previous research, like our funded lithium study. Posted articles on dementia prevention in line with our project areas, including a focus on addressing hearing loss and the influence of diet on brain health. Launched a new project, including a webpage and blog posts, on metformin and its positive effects beyond blood glucose control, such as on COVID-19, cardiovascular disease, cancer, aging, and other diseases.
