Part III response or note to any other line in Part III	The Owensboro International Bar-B-Q Festival has two missions: to celebrate the heritage of Daviess County, Kentucky, Bar-B-Q and the bourbon heritage of western Kentucky; and to provide a forum for local not-for-profits, like parish churches, to raise money. In addition to providing fundraising space for the not-for-profits, our board donates varying amounts based on available funds at the end of each annual event to not-for-profit groups nominated by that years board members. In 2025, the newly-renamed BBQ & Barrels event had a net loss. Even so, it provided a fundraising venue to numerous not-for-profit organizations. Additionally, we were still able to fulfill the organizations mission using funds saved from prior years. In accordance with our mission, board members nominated worthy not-for-profits to support. These not-for-profits included local churches. We are proud to have provided $2,000 to support these organizations and the people and causes they serve in 2025.
