What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Primary Exempt Purpose: Rotary Club of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan exists to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional and community leaders.

Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 16 Includes all operating expenses such as meals, and general operations. For accounting purposes the club splits all income and expenses into two catagories: service and operations. Operations includes all dues, meals and expenses to run the club. Service includes all fund raising, income and expenses and grants to non profits, schools, other program areas. Service income is never used for operations. Part 1 Line 10 includes grants to Art Reach of Mid Michigan, Chippewa Watershed Conservancy, Beal City Schools, Christmas Outreach, Clothing inc. Discovery Museum, Isabella Comm Soup Kitchen, United Way, Isabella County Child Advocasy Center, etc.
