THROUGH OUR INITIATIVES, WE STRIVE TO ENCOURAGE NEW DISCUSSION AND A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF DE KOONING, HIS CONTEMPORARIES, AND THEIR HISTORICAL MOMENT AMONG SCHOLARS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. FOUNDATION STAFF SPECIALISTS ACTIVELY PROVIDED RESEARCH FINDINGS AND GUIDANCE TO ORGANIZATIONS AND AUTHORS TOWARD PUBLICATIONS AND EXHIBITIONS ON WILLEM DE KOONING AND RELATED SUBJECTS, WHICH WERE OR WILL BE ACCESSIBLE BOTH NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY. THIS EXHIBITION WAS HELD AT THE GALLERIE DELL'ACCADEMIA, VENICE, APRIL - SEPTEMBER 2024, WITH THE PURPOSE AND RESULT OF SHARING DE KOONING'S ARTWORK AND THE CONCLUSIONS OF THE RIGOROUS STUDIES OF SEVERAL ART HISTORIANS WITH VISITORS FROM AROUND THE GLOBE. A FOUNDATION STAFF ART HISTORIAN PROVIDED TOURS.THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO (AIC) AND THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED TO CONDUCT THEIR COLLABORATIVE, COMPREHENSIVE MULTI-YEAR STUDY OF WILLEM DE KOONING'S DRAWINGS WHICH WILL CULMINATE IN A RETROSPECTIVE EXHIBITION, CATALOGUE AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING ON THE DRAWINGS AT AIC AND THE RIJKSMUSEUM, THE NETHERLANDS. THE FOUNDATION'S ART COLLECTION WAS CENTRAL TO THE STUDY.THE FOUNDATION OFFERED RESEARCH SUPPORT TO PRINCETON UNIVERSITY ART MUSEUM TOWARD ITS 2026 EXHIBITION AND BOOK, WILLEM DE KOONING, THE BREAKTHROUGH YEARS, 1945-50, AS WELL AS TO THE GAGOSIAN GALLERY, NEW YORK, TOWARD ITS SPRING 2025 PUBLIC PROGRAMMING, EXHIBITION AND CATALOGUE, WILLEM DE KOONING, ENDLESS PAINTING, CURATED BY CECILIA ALEMANI, THE DIRECTOR AND CHIEF CURATOR OF THE NON-PROFIT HIGHLINE ART, WITH THE AIM OF BRINGING A RANGE OF WORKS TO THE ATTENTION OF NEW GENERATIONS. THE EXHIBITION INCLUDED 3 PAINTINGS AND THE BRONZE, STANDING FIGURE, 1969-1984, FROM THE FOUNDATION'S COLLECTION. THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED ITS IN-HOUSE RESEARCH AND PROCESSING OF DOCUMENTATION ON WILLEM DE KOONING'S OEUVRE AND WRITINGS, TOWARD THE EVENTUAL PUBLICATION OF RESOURCES TO AID FUTURE SCHOLARSHIP ON DE KOONING AND 20TH CENTURY ART. THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED TO RE-HOUSE, DIGITIZE AND ADD TO ITS ARCHIVES. THE CARE AND PRESERVATION OF ITS ART COLLECTION IS ON-GOING. 14 WORKS WERE ON LONG-TERM LOAN THIS FISCAL YEAR TO INSTITUTIONS AND MUNICIPALITIES INCLUDING JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY, LONGHOUSE RESERVE, STANFORD UNIVERSITY LAW SCHOOL AND BUSINESS SCHOOL, NEW YORK UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW, PINAKOTHEK DER MODERNE, MUNICH, THE OFFICE OF SECRETARY ANTONY BLINKEN, WASHINGTON, DC, THE CITY OF ROTTERDAM, AND THE RESIDENCE OF THE UNITED STATES AMBASSADOR TO THE UNITED KINGDOM, JANE HARTLEY. 14 WORKS WERE ON SHORT-TERM LOAN AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.
