Part III, line 28 Scholarships and grants were awarded to students who applied and competed. The scholarships recognize outstanding respiratory care students for both academic performance and the submission of presentations on a pulmonary-related topic. This year, $2100 in scholarships were awarded. Sponsored a grant to assist SC respiratory therapist design a license plate for awareness at a cost of $6800. Allocations were made to send respiratory care students and licensed SC respiratory therapists to national and state conferences, as well as to the House of Delegates. SC respiratory therapists received funding for awareness and respiratory health promotion. A $ 1,000 scholarship was awarded to a South Carolina high school student who participates in SC HOSA. This scholarship is awarded to the student by a SCSRC board member at the SC HOSA Spring Leadership Conference in Charleston, SC. Presentations are provided to high school students in the field of respiratory therapy at various events during the year; the amount spent to host or participate in these events is.
