Schedule D, Part X, Line 2 FIN 48 (ASC 740) footnote

The Association is exempt from federal and state income taxes under various sections of the IRC and applicable state law. However, income from certain activities not directly related to the Association's tax-exempt purpose is subject to taxation as unrelated business income. Under current Internal Revenue Service Regulations, advertising revenue earned from the publication of the Association's annual directory and mailing list revenues are subject to income tax. The Association believes that it has appropriate support for any tax positions taken and, as such, does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the combined financial statements. The Association and its affiliates file their forms 990 in the U.S. federal jurisdiction and with the State of Georgia.
