Briefly describe the organization’s mission: Established in 2008 to improve the quality of neurosurgical care, the NeuroPoint Alliance (NPA) is a 501(C)(6) affiliate nonprofit organization of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS). The NPA supports evidence development, performance assessment, comparative effectiveness studies and adoption of new treatments into routine clinical practice.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 6 Classes of members or stockholders	There shall be one general class of members. The sole member shall be the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Inc. (AANS).
Form 990, Part VI, Line 7a Members or stockholders electing members of governing body	The organization shall have twelve directors, eight directors who are designated as the AANS directors. The AANS directors shall be annually appointed by the Chairman of the AANS.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 11b Review of form 990 by governing body	The organization's Form 990 is reviewed by the Accounting Manager, Chief Financial Officer and by the Director of NeuroPoint Alliance, Inc.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 12c Conflict of interest policy	As a CME provider accredited by the ACCME, NeuroPoint Alliance (NPA) requires all individuals (and their significant others) in a position to influence and/or control the content of NPA directly and jointly sponsored CME activities to disclose to the NPA and subsequently to learners that the individual either has no relevant financial relationship or has any relevant financial relationships with a commercial interest. All disclosure information must be provided to NPA CME activity participants prior to the beginning of the CME activity. If a disclosure is not completed, the individual will not participate in the activity. All potential conflicts of interest identified through review of the disclosure form must be resolved in order for individuals in a position to influence and/or control CME content to be confirmed for the educational assignment. The resolution process and documents must be documented in the CME activity file. A conflict of interest disclosure must also be completed yearly by NPA Committee Members. Anyone who does not complete the disclosure will not participate on the Committee.
