Caring for a Loved One with Dementia (virtual series): Alumni gerontology expert Carol Jacobs presents helpful tips and information about becoming a caregiver. Emeriti Campus Tour-Opportunity: To further engagement with the Alumni Association and its mission to grow advocacy efforts, expand scholarships, and develop community relationships. The Homecoming Social: Reminisce, reconnect, and celebrate Homecoming 2024. Young Alumni Summit: Create and increase connection by sharing stories and thoughts featuring past and present 40 Under 40 honorees. Annual dinner with students and representatives from the Alumni Board of Directors (Fall) and Young Alumni Council (Spring): Offers networking opportunities and panel discussion based on themes of career readiness and professionalism. Current regional locations are NYC and DC. Senior Brunch & Learn Designed for alumni 55+, these events offer a local group outing and lunch. Suit Up: Hosted in partnership with JCPenney, students are invited to an exclusive shopping event with deeply discounted career attire, prizes, and DJ. Tailgate: Annual pre-game event that draws 400+ alumni and guests. This family-friendly event includes kids activities, catered meal, open bar, cheerleaders, Pounce, face painting, and more. Third Thursdays: These monthly networking happy hours are hosted at venues around the city with the goal of instilling a continued sense of spirit and excitement around being an alum and cultivating a lifelong relationship with GSU.
