THE BATTLE FAMILY FOUNDATION'S INITAL ESTABLISHER AND FORMER TRUSTEE, WILLIAM R BATTLE III, DIED IN NOVEMBER, 2024. PER THE REQUIREMENTS OF HIS LAST WILL & TESTAMENT, MR. BATTLE'S ESTATE WAS TO MAKE A GIFT TO HIS FOUNDATION BASED ON HIS ESTATE'S VALUE AND THEN SUBSEQUENTLY, THE FUNDS IN THE FOUNDATION WERE TO BE TRANSFERRED INTO SEVERAL NEW PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS ESTABLISHED BY HIS HEIRS.
