Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6	The Society consists of members paying annual dues. Each member is entitled to one vote.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a	The Society shall be the sole judge of the qualifications of its members. Applicants for membership must be of good professional standing and must support the bylaws of the Society and the Principles of Medical Ethics of the American Medical Association. Members shall be classified as Active, Emeritus, Resident, and Courtesy. Active membership in this Society is available to dues-paying physicians who hold a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree and who reside or practice in Pulaski County, or in an adjacent county where no similar active county society exists, provided they possess a valid, unrevoked license to practice medicine issued by the Arkansas State Medical Board. Emeritus membership in this Society is available to members in good standing who have attained the age of seventy, who have fully retired from the practice of medicine, or who have completed forty-five years of active membership. A member approved by the Board of Directors for Emeritus status may elect to accept the honor or may continue as an Active member. Resident membership in this Society is available to interns, residents, and graduate or research fellows who hold a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree and who are currently employed by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Courtesy membership is available to career military physicians of the United States Armed Forces. Courtesy membership is also available to Active members entering the United States Armed Forces on a non-career basis, until such time as their tour of duty has ended. Courtesy membership may also be extended to students enrolled at UAMS. Applicants for membership in this Society must complete the appropriate application form provided by the Credentials Committee. Applications for Active membership must be accompanied by the current dues. Applicants shall be listed in the Society bulletin and referred to the Credentials Committee for study and recommendation. The Credentials Committee will report to the Board of Directors, which shall by majority vote either grant or deny membership.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c	The Organization requires its directors, officers, and key employees to complete a written conflict of interest disclosure statement on an annual basis. Disclosures are reviewed by the Board of Directors, and any individual with a conflict in a matter under consideration is required to disclose the conflict and recuse themselves from related discussions and votes. The Board monitors ongoing compliance with the Organization's Conflict of Interest Policy throughout the year.
